We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Lead in Mérida, Mexico to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our interior design studios by identifying and securing new business opportunities. This individual will possess strong critical thinking skills, a deep understanding of the interior design industry, and exceptional communication skills to effectively convey our unique value proposition to potential clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential clients.

  • Analyze industry data to identify business opportunities and areas for growth.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with the Managing Partner to meet the Studio’s objectives.  

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify target markets and define key strategies for market penetration.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.

  • Conduct client needs assessments to understand their design preferences and requirements.

Opportunity Cultivation:  

  • Identify new business opportunities through various channels, including networking events, partnerships, market research, and strategic outreach.  

  • Effectively communicate the studio's value proposition and convert new opportunities into long-term clients.


Proposal Development:

  • Prepare compelling and customized proposals in collaboration with the design and project management teams.

  • Present proposals to clients, addressing their needs and showcasing the studio's capabilities.

Contract Negotiation:

  • Negotiate contract terms, ensuring a mutually beneficial agreement for both the client and the studio.

  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

  • Proven experience in business development within the interior design industry.

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

  • Skills in Microsoft/Google Office a plus

  • Skills in Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign

  • Skills in Keynote and other presentation software a plus

  • Able to speak English and Spanish fluently
